CHICKEN BOLOGNESE PASTA

Preparation Time :
15 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the olive oil in a pan and add the chicken. Sprinkle half the teaspoon of salt and cook it for 5-7 minutes until it is no longer pink (stirring occasionally).
  • Add the onion, garlic, carrots and celery and cook until the vegetables are tender (3 to 5 minutes).
  • Now gently stir in the tomato sauce and stir it well.
  • Adjust the salt content according to the taste. Add the rest of the seasoning ingredients. (thyme, basil, oregano, chilli flakes and pepper). Cook for another 3-5 minutes and then turn of the heat.
  • Add the cooked spaghetti or linguine and toss it well. (If it too dry then add the reserved cooking water).
  • Serve it hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 150 grams chicken mince
  • 150 grams spaghetti or linguine (cooked and drained)
  • 250 ml of pasta cooking water (reserved while draining the cooked pasta)
  • 250 ml tomato sauce
  • 2 sticks celery (finely sliced)
  • 1 garlic clove (crushed)
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 carrot (sliced)
  • 2 teaspoons Cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon oregano 
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil 
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
