Preparation Method :
- Gently dissolve the sugar in water, stir and then boil rapidly for 3 minutes. Remove from the heat, stir in the coffee and leave for 15 minutes.
- Strain into a jug. Cool, then chill. Pour into a shallow freezer proof container. Cover and freeze for about 20 -30 minutes.
- If using the freezing compartment of your refrigerator, turn it down to its lowest temperature an hour beforehand.
- Remove from the freezer and stir well with a metal spoon until evenly blended. Return to the freezer.
- Repeat this operation twice more at regular intervals ( 20 minutes )until a granular slush is formed.
- Spoon the granita into individual tall glasses, and top each with whipped cream sprinkled with drinking chocolate.

- 140 ml double cream, whipped
- Powdered drinking chocolate
