Preparation Method :
- Put the cherries, Marsala, nutmeg and sugar in a saucepan and bring to the boil over moderate heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer gently for 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and transfer it to a serving dish.
- Return the pan to the heat and boil the liquid for 4- 5 minutes or until it is thick to syrup form. Pour the syrup over the cherries.
- Chill the dish in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Top the cherries with the stiffly whipped double cream before serving.
