SPICY GREEN TOMATOES

Preparation Time :
15 minutes

Cooking Time :
15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a wok or pan, sauté cumin and fenugreek seeds. When they start spluttering, add tomatoes and green chillies. Fry for a minute or two.
  • Add all the spices and sugar. Cook covered for 5 minutes or until the tomato slices lose their shape.
  • Add the garlic paste and stir-fry at least for 2 minutes. Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams Green tomatoes, cut into big pieces
  • 50 ml Cooking oil
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • ½ teaspoon Fenugreek seeds  
  • 2-3 Green chillies, slit
  • ¾ teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon Dried mango powder
  • A pinch of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic paste
