SPINACH IN HOT GARLIC SAUCE

Preparation Method :
- Discard stems and finely chop the palak, then wash leaves and drain.
- Steam the spinach leaves by keeping in a metal strainer or a colander over a pan of boiling water for 5 minutes. Keep it aside.
- Heat oil, add garlic paste and saute for 30 seconds on low flame.
- Add the red chilli bits, soya sauce, vinegar and tomato sauce with the cornflour paste, stirring continuously.
- Add salt, pepper & sugar. Cook till thick.
- Mix in the steamed spinach. Remove from fire.
- Serve with steamed rice.
INGREDIENTS
- 250 grams spinach (palak) - with small leaves
Garlic Sauce
- 2 teaspoon garlic paste
- 2 dried, red chillies - broken into bits
- 2 teaspoon soya sauce
- 2 teaspoon vinegar
- 2 tablespoon tomato sauce
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ¼ teaspoon sugar
- 1 ½ tablespoon corn flour dissolved in 1 cup water
- 1 ½ tablespoon Cooking oil
