Preparation Method :
- Chop banana peel into fine pieces.
- Grate coconut and grind into a coarse paste with green chillies.
- Soak tamarind in boiling water and extract juice.
- Pressure-cook the vegetables in salt, 100 ml of water and turmeric powder.
- Add tamarind extract to the cooked vegetables and boil until water evaporates.
- Add the coarse paste to the vegetable.
- Heat oil, and allow mustard seeds to splutter. Add urad dal, golden fry and then red chillies and curry leaves.
- Add all together, stir well and remove.
- Serve hot with rice.
INGREDIENTS
- 400 grams of Banana peel
- 400 grams of Coconut
- 8 Green chillies
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 2 lemon-sized Tamarind
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon Urad dal, small
- 4 Red chillies
- A few Curry leaves
- 2 tablespoon Cooking oil
- Salt to taste
