Preparation Method :
- Soak dal in hot water for 15 minutes and grind masala ingredients coarsely.
- Remove outer skin leaf of the banana flower and pluck the flowers. Now remove centre stem throw it away and chop the vegetable finely.
- Soak in diluted lassi water.
- Pressure-cook the vegetable with salt and turmeric powder for a whistle. Keep aside.
- Make usili as specified in the previous recipe adding the vegetable after 3 minutes. Add a little sugar to the vegetable to avoid any bitterness.
- Serve hot with rice.
INGREDIENTS
- 400 grams of Banana flower
- 500 grams of Capsicum
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- Curry leaves a few
- 4 ladles Sesame oil
- Salt for taste
Masala
- 400 grams of Thoor dal
- 4 tablespoon Asafoetida powder
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 6 Red chillies
- Salt to taste
