Preparation Method :
- Heat the oil in a large frying-pan. Add in the onions and fry them, until they turn golden brown.
- Add in the spice mixture. Stir in half the quantity of water, cover and cook until the onions are cooked through.
- Add the potato slices to the mixture and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the peas and the remaining water to the pan, cover and cook for 10 minutes.
- Transfer the potatoes and peas to serving plates. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve.
INGREDIENTS
- 250 grams potatoes, peeled, rinsed and cut each into 6 slices
- 150 grams peas
- 250 grams onions, sliced
- 50 ml Cooking oil
- 250 ml water
- Fresh coriander leaves, to garnish
- Chopped red chillies, to garnish
Spice Mixture
- 1 inch fresh ginger root, finely chopped
- 4-5 fresh garlic cloves, crushed
- Salt and chilli powder, to taste
- ½ teaspoon turmeric
- 2-3 fresh green chillies, finely chopped
