Preparation Method :
- Heat the oil in a medium heavy pan, add the onion , onion seeds and green chillies ,fry until the onion has turned golden brown.
- Simmer and add the ground turmeric and salt to the onions and fry for about 1 minute.
- Add the prepared okra, quickly stir-fry the okra for a few minutes until they are lightly golden.
- Stir in the yogurt, tomatoes and finally, the coriander. Cook further 3-5 minutes.
- Transfer the okra to a serving dish and serve hot.
INGREDIENTS
- 500 grams okra
- 1 tablespoon Cooking oil
- ½ teaspoon onion seeds
- 4 medium fresh green chillies, chopped
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- ¼ teaspoon ground turmeric
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon natural (plain) low fat yogurt
- 3 medium tomatoes, sliced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander
