Preparation Method :
- Wash and chop the spinach finely and simmer for about 15 minutes. Drain all the water and squeeze in a strainer to remove excess water.
- Heat the butter and oil together and fry the onion until soft. Then add all the remaining ingredients except green chillies. Lower the heat and stir-fry the mixture for about 10 seconds.
- Mix in the spinach and continue to stir-fry for about 10 minutes or until the spinach darkens.
- Garnish with chopped green chillies, and serve.
INGREDIENTS
- 350 grams fresh spinach
- 75 grams butter
- 1 tablespoon peanut oil
- 2 onions, peeled and chopped
- 3 cloves
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cloves garlic
- ½ teaspoon ginger root, shredded
- 1 teaspoon chilli powder
- 3 green chillies to garnish
