Preparation Method :
- Cook the fresh mustard leaves in a little water until soft, then drain. Set aside.
- If you are using canned mustard leaves, drain any excess water.
- Heat the oil and butter together then add the white cumin seeds and fry until they darken a shade.
- Add the remaining spices and salt and finally add mustard leaves, fry for about 5 minutes until it turns darker, stir continuously.
- Turn off the heat and let it stand for about 5 minutes. Serve hot.
INGREDIENTS
- 400 grams mustard leaves, fresh or canned
- 1 teaspoon peanut oil
- ½ teaspoon white cumin seeds
- ½ teaspoon crushed garlic
- ½ teaspoon chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 150 grams ghee or butter
