SWEET AND SOUR MOTH

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil drop in cumin seeds, cardamom and cinnamon stick, let them splutter.
  • Add chopped chillies, garlic and bay leaf, stir-fry for 10 -20 seconds.
  • Add chopped onion and sauté on medium heat for 5 minutes or till the onions are lightly browned.
  • Add the cumin seeds , turmeric, chilli powder, garam masala, jaggery, salt, tomatoes and fry till the oil seperates.
  • Add the drained brown beans. Mix well and add measured water. Bring it to boil, cover and cook on low heat for about 10 -15 minutes till the beans is completely cooked.
  • Garnish it with chopped coriander and serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 150 grams brown beans, soaked for about 30 minutes
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder 
  • 1" stick cinnamon 
  • 3 brown cardamom 
  • 1 tablespoon,Tamarind pulp
  • 2 teaspoon jaggery
  • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds 
  • 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
  • 1 green chilli 
  • ½ " piece ginger 
  • 1 onion - finely chopped 
  • 1 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • 1 bay leaf 
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 
  • ½ teaspoon garam masala 
  • 1 tablespoon chopped coriander
