VEGETABLE KORMA

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • The Spice Paste: Grind all the ingredients to smooth paste by adding a little water.
  • The Spice Powder: Dry roast the ingredients and grind to fine powder.
  • Add sufficient water to the vegetables and cook covered.
  • When the vegetables are tender add the chopped tomato and salt and simmer for a minute or two.
  • Mix in the spice paste.
  • Sprinkle in the spice powder. Mix well.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil, fry the bay leaves and add to the korma.
  • Serve hot with idli and dosai.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 potatoes, chopped fine
  • 75 grams Okra
  • 1 large tomato, chopped fine
  • 1 tablespoon IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • Salt to taste
  • A few bay leaves
  • ½ bunch coriander leaves
  • Finely chopped for garnishing

Spice Paste

  • ½ fresh coconut, grated
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • A small bunch of coriander leaves
  • 6 green chillies
  • 1 small onion
  • ½ " piece ginger

Spice Powder

  • 2 green cardamoms
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 tablespoon aniseed
  • 1 small stick cinnamon
  • 6 cloves
