Preparation Method :
- The Spice Paste: Grind all the ingredients to smooth paste by adding a little water.
- The Spice Powder: Dry roast the ingredients and grind to fine powder.
- Add sufficient water to the vegetables and cook covered.
- When the vegetables are tender add the chopped tomato and salt and simmer for a minute or two.
- Mix in the spice paste.
- Sprinkle in the spice powder. Mix well.
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil, fry the bay leaves and add to the korma.
- Serve hot with idli and dosai.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 potatoes, chopped fine
- 75 grams Okra
- 1 large tomato, chopped fine
- 1 tablespoon IDHAYAM sesame oil
- Salt to taste
- A few bay leaves
- ½ bunch coriander leaves
- Finely chopped for garnishing
Spice Paste
- ½ fresh coconut, grated
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- A small bunch of coriander leaves
- 6 green chillies
- 1 small onion
- ½ " piece ginger
Spice Powder
- 2 green cardamoms
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon aniseed
- 1 small stick cinnamon
- 6 cloves
