Preparation Method :
- Soak dal and pressure-cook for 5 whistles.
- Slit green chillies, chop ginger finely.
- Chop tomatoes into small pieces.
- Chop onions and coriander leaves finely.
- Roast mustard seeds in oil; add a 50 ml of water, green chillies, turmeric powder, onions, tomatoes, ginger, asafoetida and salt.
- Pressure-cook for a whistle.
- Now add cooked dal and blend well with a ladle. Thicken, and add die lime juice;Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with rava dosai.

- 150 grams Thoor dal
- 450 grams Tomatoes
- 250 grams Onions
- 5 Green chillies
- 1 teaspoon Ginger
- 1 teaspoon Asafoetida powder
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 4 tablespoons Lime juice
- 100 grams Coriander leaves
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 2 teaspoon Cooking oil
- Salt to taste
