TOMATO ONION GRAVY

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Boil tomatoes and extract puree.
  • Chop onions finely.
  • Roast mustard seeds and jeera in oil and add tomato puree.
  • Add onions, chilly powder, asafoetida powder, turmeric powder, salt and 100 ml of water. Close lid and boil for 5 minutes in medium fire.
  • When it thickens remove from fire, garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with rava idlis.

INGREDIENTS

  • 800 grams Tomato
  • 200 grams Onions
  • 1 teaspoon Asafoetida powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chilly powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Jeera
  • 4 teaspoons Cooking oil
  • Salt to taste
