Preparation Method :
- Wash, peel and chop up the turnips, Cover with water to prevent discoloration.
- Heat the oil in a deep pan and fry the onions until golden brown.
- Lower the heat and add the salt and spices, whip the yogurt lightly with a fork and add to the onion mixture.
- Stir-fry for about 2 minutes, then mix in the drained turnips, fresh coriander and green chillies.
- Add water and simmer until the turnips are cooked. Serve hot.
INGREDIENTS
- 3 baby turnips or 450 grams large turnip
- 75 ml peanut oil
- 3 medium onions, peeled and finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon garam masala
- ½ teaspoon diced and crushed ginger root
- A pinch turmeric
- 4 tablespoons natural yogurt
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander
- 3 green chillies, finely chopped
- 250 ml water
