POTATO AND PEA CURRY WITH YOGURT

Preparation Method :

  • Heat oil in large pan; cook onion and garlic, stirring, until onion is soft. Add spices and potato; cook 2 minutes.
  • Stir in un drained crushed tomatoes with water, bring to boil; simmer, stirring occasionally, about 20-25 minutes or until potato is tender.
  • Stir in peas; cook, stirring, about 3-5 minutes or until peas are heated through.

INGREDIENTS

  • 6-8 medium potatoes, peeled, chopped
  • 420 grams tomatoes
  • 100 ml water
  • 150 grams frozen peas
  • 50 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 145 grams brown onion, finely chopped
  • 2-4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon ground coriander
  • ¼ teaspoon ground fennel
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • Parsley Yogurt
  • 100 grams plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Mint for garnish
