MALAI KOFTA WITH NUTS GRAVY

Preparation Method :
- Preparation of Kofta
- Mash the boiled potatoes, add green chilies, salt, pepper, bread crumbs and flour, mix it well.
- Make balls and press it at the center to fill it with paneer and roll it again into round shaped balls.
- Deep fry it until golden brown and remove from the oil and place it on the absorbent paper.
- Preparation of Gravy
- Place all the ingredients of paste in a grinder and churn it into a paste.
- Heat oil in a pan, add jeera and paste, stir- fry it for 5 minutes.
- Add kasturi methi, cream, salt, garam masala and pepper and mix it well. Add water and heat until the gravy thickens to required consistency.
- While serving put two koftas in each bowl and top it with nutty gravy.
- Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
- Good to serve with naan or Laccha paratha.
INGREDIENTS
Gravy
- 6 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves
- 2 tablespoons of thick cream
- A pinch garam masala
- ½ teaspoon jeera
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Coriander for garnishing
Kofta
- 5 boiled potatoes
- 200 grams cottage cheese or paneer
- ½ teaspoon chopped Green chillies
- 2 teaspoons of all purpose flour or maida
- Bread crumbs
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 200 ml Sesame oil for frying
For Paste (grind it together)
- 2 Onions
- 15 cloves of garlic
- 200 grams cashew
- 100 grams walnuts
- Small piece of ginger
- 4-6 whole pepper
- 1 inch cinnamon stick
- 1 or 2 laung
- 1 green chillies
