MALABAR COCONUT GRAVY

Preparation Method :
- Cut all vegetables into 2" pieces.
- Grate coconut and Shell peas.
- Soak thoor dal for 15 minutes and pressure cook for 5 whistles.
- Pressure-cook vegetables with turmeric powder, salt and chilly powder for one whistle. Add cooked dal.
- Grind grated coconut and jeera and add to the vegetables.
- Heat oil, and allow the mustard seeds to splutter and then add the broken urad dal and curry leaves in that order.
- Add these to the vegetables and let it simmer over medium gas. Stir well and remove from fire.
- Serve hot with rice.

- 100 grams of yam
- 100 grams of ash-gourd
- 100 grams of carrots
- 16 pieces drumstick
- 100 grams of beans
- 2 tablespoon of peas
- 300 grams of thoor dal
- 2 teaspoon jeera
- 2teaspoon turmeric powder
- 200 grams of coconut
- 2 teaspoon chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon urad dal
- 2 teaspoon coconut oil
- A few curry leaves
- Salt to taste
