GREEN GRAM IN SOUR GRAVY

Preparation Method :
- Pressure-cook the sabut moong in water until the gram is soft.
- In a bowl, combine the yogurt, salt, gram flour, turmeric, minced ginger and chilli and whisk well. Add the sugar and water and mix again.
- Heat the oil in a pan. Add the asafoetida, mustard and cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon, fenugreek seeds and curry leaves, and saute.
- Stir in the yogurt mixture and cook until the gram flour is cooked.
- Add the sabut moong and cook for 5 minutes on a medium heat.

- 250 grams whole green gram
- 500 grams natural low-fat yogurt
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons gram flour
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 2 teaspoon minced ginger
- 2 teaspoon minced green chilli
- 2 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoon sesame oil
- pinch of asafoetida
- 1 teaspoon black mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 5 cloves
- 2.5 cm stick cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
- 15 curry leaves
