DRY LENTIL BALTI

Preparation Method :
- Drain the lentils and place in a saucepan with water, the turmeric and the Balti spice mix. Bring to the boil and simmer for 20 minutes, or until tender. Mash the lentils lightly with a fork.
- Stir in the tomatoes and coriander. Simmer for a further 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, heat the ghee or oil in a pan over a medium to high heat. Add the onion and chilli and fry for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
- Turn the lentil mix into a serving dish and top with the onion mixture.
INGREDIENTS
- 250 grams red lentils, soaked for 30 minutes in cold water
- 2 teaspoon turmeric
- 3 teaspoon Balti spice mix
- 250 grams chopped tomatoes
- Fresh coriander, chopped
- 2 small onion, chopped
- 2 green chilli, finely chopped
- 50 ml Sesame oil
