DRUMSTICK GRAVY

Preparation Method :

  • Cut the drumsticks into 2"inch pieces.
  • Extracte the Tamarind, juice.
  • Heat oil and allow the mustard seeds to splutter.
  • Add methi seeds and saute for 10 seconds before adding the drumsticks.
  • Stir, and add tamarind extract, sambhar powder, asafoetida powder, salt and curry leaves. Close lid and pressure-cook for 2 whistles.
  • After it cools remove lid and boil for while till the gravy gets thicken. Now add the sesame oil to the hot drumsticks gravy.
  • Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 600 grams of drumstick
  • 4 teaspoons of sambhar powder
  • 2 teaspoon asafoetida
  • Largelemon sized tamarind
  • A few curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 10 methi
  • 2 teaspoon of Cooking oil
  • 4 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt to taste
