Preparation Method :
- Cut the drumsticks into 2"inch pieces.
- Extracte the Tamarind, juice.
- Heat oil and allow the mustard seeds to splutter.
- Add methi seeds and saute for 10 seconds before adding the drumsticks.
- Stir, and add tamarind extract, sambhar powder, asafoetida powder, salt and curry leaves. Close lid and pressure-cook for 2 whistles.
- After it cools remove lid and boil for while till the gravy gets thicken. Now add the sesame oil to the hot drumsticks gravy.
- Serve hot.
INGREDIENTS
- 600 grams of drumstick
- 4 teaspoons of sambhar powder
- 2 teaspoon asafoetida
- Largelemon sized tamarind
- A few curry leaves
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 10 methi
- 2 teaspoon of Cooking oil
- 4 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt to taste
