DRIED BLACK GRAM DUMPLINGS IN YOGURT

Preparation Method :
- Heat the ghee in a pan; add cumin seeds and stir over medium heat until they begin to splutter.
- Add ginger-garlic paste; stir-fry for about half a minute. Remove the pan from the heat.
- Stir-in the yogurt mixture and return to heat. Cook till specks of fat begin to appear on the surface.
- Add 2-3 cups of water and adjust seasoning with salt; bring the mixture to the boil.
- Add the black gram dumplings and continue to boil. Simmer to low flame, stir regularly, till the gravy is of thin sauce-like consistency.
- Sprinkle fenugreek powder, stir and remove from heat. Adjust seasoning.
- Garnish with green coriander, serve hot.
INGREDIENTS
- 250 grams Black gram dumplings
- 2 tablespoon Ginger- Garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
- A pinch Fenugreek powder
- 1 tablespoon Fresh green coriander leaves, chopped
Whisked Yogurt Mixture
- 150 grams Yogurt
- 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
