Preparation Method :
- Cook the lentils with all the ingredients except garlic, chillies and mango powder.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and add hot water if needed.
- Heat the oil in a non-stick saucepan. Add the garlic and sauté for about 10-20 seconds, then add the chillies.
- Pour a few spoonfuls of the lentils into the pan, mix well and stir back into the curry along with the dried mango powder. Serve hot.
INGREDIENTS
- 90 grams split toovar dhal, picked over and washed
- 500 ml cold water
- 1 tablespoon garlic, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried mango powder
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon Cooking oil
- Crushed red chillies to taste
- Salt to taste
