CORN ON THE COB IN RICH ONION SAUCE

Preparation Method :
- Heat the oil in a karahi or large pan and fry the corn until golden brown. Remove the corn and set aside. Remove any excess oil.
- Grind the onion, garlic and ginger to a paste using a food processor.
- Take a bowl add in the paste with the spices, curry leaves and granulated sugar.
- Heat the oil and fry the onion paste mixture until all the spices have blended well and the oil separates from the sauce.
- Cool the mixture and add in the yogurt, mix to a smooth sauce. Add corn and mix well, make sure to coat all the pieces with the sauce.
- Reheat gently for 5-7 minutes. Serve hot.

- ½ teaspoon granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
- ½ teaspoon onion seeds

- ½ teaspoon chilli powder
- 6 curry leaves
- 200 ml natural yogurt
- Cooking oil, for frying
- Chili powder and salt , to taste
- 5 corn cobs, thawed if frozen, into halves
