BANANA STEM CURRY

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Peel skin and chop banana stem into thin round slices, removing the fibre inside.
  • Chop into small thin strips and soak in thin lassi.
  • Slit green chillies into half.                         
  • Grate coconut.
  • Pressure-cook the vegetable in turmeric powder and salt.
  • Half boil the moong dal and remove. For this, add very little water and remove by the first whistle.
  • Heat oil, and allow mustard seeds to splutter; add the urad dal and golden fry. Add curry leaves and green chillies.
  • Mix all ingredients and stir over fire for half a minute. Add grated coconut.
  • Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 400 grams of banana Stem
  • 100 grams of coconut
  • 5 Green chillies
  • 4 tablespoons moong dal
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon urad dal, small
  • A few curry leaves
  • 2 teaspoon Cooking oil
  • Salt to taste
