ROAST CHICKEN

Preparation Method :

  • Marinate the chicken pieces with all the ingredients given under marinade. Keep covered in the refrigerator to marinate for about 2 hours.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan. Add the chicken pieces and stir fry on high flame till the chicken gets well browned.
  • Add 2 cups water and cook for about 15 minutes or until the chicken is completely cooked.
  • Remove the pieces of chicken on to a serving platter and keep the left over stock in the bowl.
  • To prepare the sauce: Mix all the sauces with the tomato puree and chilli paste in a small bowl and keep it aside.
  • Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a non stick pan. Add garlic and stir fry till it just changes colour slightly.
  • Add maida, stir for a few seconds, add the reserved stock with measured water, sauces and cooked chicken. Stirring continuously till thick. Adjust the seasonings. Remove from fire.
  • Serve with boiled carrots, beans and fried potatoes.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 chicken - cut into 4 pieces, washed

Marinade

  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 3 tablespoon tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 15 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil

Sauce

  • 1 teaspoon chopped and crushed garlic
  • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon 8 - 8 sauce
  • 3 tablespoon tomato puree 
  • Pepper and salt to taste 
  • 2 teaspoon maida (plain flour) 
  • ½ teaspoon chilli paste 
  • 1 cube chicken super seasoning
