FISH BALLS

Preparation Method :

  • Cook the fishwith chopped green chilies ginger, garlic, curry leaves, pepper powder, salt and turmeric powder till fish completely cooked.
  • In a separate pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil and saute onion with salt till golden brown. Remove from flame.
  • Dip the bread slices in water.
  • Remove from water and squeeze the water out.
  • Mix soaked bread, mashed potato, sauteed onions, chaat masala and coriander leaves well. Mix in the cooked fish. Adjust seasoning. Divide into 30 equal portions and roll into balls.
  • Dip the balls in egg and coat it with breadcrumbs.
  • Heat oil in a medium flame. Deep fry the fish balls till it become a golden brown.
  • Drain on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.

INGREDIENTS

  • 300 grams fish (sheela)
  • 3 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoon finely chopped ginger
  • 2 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
  • 1 spring curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon pepper powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 slices white bread
  • Water, as required
  • 3 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 2 medium onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala (optional)
  • 50 grams chopped coriander leaves
  • 2 egg whites
  • 100 grams bread crumbs
  • 100 ml sesame oil
