Preparation Method :
- Combine the fish fillets with lime juice, pepper cumin powder, chilli powder, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder and salt and leave to marinate for 20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a kadai.
- Dredge the marinated fish with flour, dip in a beaten egg, roll in breadcrumbs and deep-fry till golden and crisp. When done, remove and drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot with tartare sauce, ketchup or chutney.
INGREDIENTS
- 400 grams flaky white fish fillets, cut into 8 slices
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 ½ teaspoon black peppercorns, crushed
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- IDHAYAM Sesame Oil for shallow-frying
- 200 grams all-purpose (refined) flour
- 2 eggs, beaten well
- 300 grams fresh white breadcrumbs
