Preparation Method :
- Cut fish fillets into 3 inch sized pieces.
- Sprinkle salt and freshly squeezed lime juice over fish pieces and cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes for marination.
- Meanwhile, combine garlic, lime juice, coriander leaves, mint, green chilies, cumin seeds and sufficient salt and grind to a fine paste i.e., chutney.
- Combine marinated fish along with chutney and keep aside for 10 minutes.
- Cut banana leaves into smaller pieces.
- Place the marinated fish in the center of each banana leaf and add some chutney on them and fold the ends to make a parcel. Tie with a string to secure the parcels.
- Heat the steamer and place the parcels on a perforated plate or stand and steam for 5 - 10 minutes.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.

- 8 Pomfret fillets
- 10 green chilies, finely chopped
- 2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 6 garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons of fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon mint leaves, roughly chopped
- 3 tablespoon lime juice
- Salt to taste
- 2-3 banana leaves
