Preparation Method :
- To prepare the dough: Sift maida. Add grated potato, oil and salt. Knead into a firm dough of rolling consistency with some water. Keep aside covered.
- To prepare the filling: Heat the oil and add in the onion, ginger garlic paste cook till the onion changes to light brown.
- Then add in the tomato and cook till tomato turns soft.
- Add in the chicken. Cover and cook on low flame till chicken turns tender and dry. Remove from fire and keep it aside.
- Squeeze lemon juice to taste and add a pinch of salt and chilli powder.
- Mix sliced onions with green chutney. Keep aside in a separate bowl.
- Take a bowl and beat the eggs and add a pinch of salt and pepper. Keep aside.
- To prepare the rotis: Make chapatis out of the prepared dough by cooking the rotis lightly on both sides on the tawa. Keep the cooked rotis in a casserole.
- Heat the griddle. Add 1 teaspoon of oil and fry the chapati on one side only. Do not turn.
- Pour a part of beaten egg on the chapati and flip the roti to cook the egg. Remove from the griddle, keep the egg coated side up.
- Sprinkle 1 teaspoon lemon juice on the egg coated side of the roti.
- Arrange chicken filling on one end of the roti. Sprinkle some onions on the chicken filling and roll the roti forward tightly to form the Kaathi Roti.
- To serve wrap the lower part of the rotis in a paper napkin.

- 250 grams maida
- 2 potatoes - boiled and grated
- 15 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil
- Salt to taste
Filling
- 500 grams boneless chicken - cut into small cubes
- 50 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil
- 1 large onion - ground to a paste
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 onions - thinly sliced and mixed with some green chutney
- 1 large tomato - chopped
- 2 eggs - beaten
- 1 teaspoon chilli powder
- Salt to taste
