BATTER FRIED SHRIMP

Preparation Method :

  • Peel and de-vein the shrimp. Rinse under cold water and pat the shrimp dry with paper towels.
  • Beat the eggs with 3 tablespoons of water and oil.
  • Add the parsley, garlic, saffron, baking soda and salt.
  • Stir in the flours to make a smooth batter and allow to rest for 1 hour.
  • Heat oil in a pan.                       
  • Dip the shrimp into batter.
  • Deep fry the shrimp and remove from the oil.             
  • Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams large shrimp
  • 3 eggs
  • IDHAYAM sesame oil for frying
  • 1 Tablespoon parsley, minced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 pinch saffron
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 150 grams all-purpose flour
  • 50 grams
  • Pinch of freshly-ground black pepper
