Preparation Method :
- Peel and cut the onions, green chillies and curry leaves.
- Soak the urad dhal and rice in water for 40 minutes.
- Grind the urad dhal in a wet grinder with rice, asafoetida, pepper and salt to a smooth paste by using a little water frequently.
- Then take out from the grinder. Add onions, green chillies and curry leaves.
- Heat the kadai with oil.
- Take a lemon size vadai mix, keep it in the center of your hand and make it flat and make a hole with the finger. Put in the same to the hot oil and fry.
- Turn it after it gets brown in colour, take it out from the oil and keep the vadais on kitchen tissues to observe the excess oil.
- Serve hot with Sambhar and Chutney.

- 200 grams urad dal (whole)
- 2 tablespoon rice
- 2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 green chillies
- Few curry leaves
- ½ teaspoon asafoetida
- 20 small onions
- 300 ml Cooking oil
