FRUIT RASAM

Preparation Method :

  • Chop pineapple into small pieces Squeeze juice of 3 oranges.
  • Slit green chilly into half.
  • Heat oil, and allow mustard seeds to splutter.
  • Add water, pineapple pieces, green chillies and salt. Boil for about 3 minutes.
  • Add orange juice and boil in medium fire for two minutes.
  • Mash the cooked dal well. As soon as the sediments settle at the bottom, pour the dal water into the rasam mixture.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve as soup.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 sour Oranges
  • 2 slice (tinned) Pineapple
  • 2 green chilly
  • 100 grams of Thoor dal
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Cooking oil
  • Salt to taste
