Preparation Method :
- Heat the oil. When hot add all the ingredients for tempering.
- When the mustard seeds splutter, add the green chillies. Stir for a few seconds.
- Add the cabbage, green peas, salt and ¾ cup water. Cover and cook on high heat till the vegetables are tender.
- Add the grated coconut. Mix well.
- Serve hot.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 green chillies, slit lengthwise
- 500 grams cabbage, chopped fine
- 75 grams shelled green peas
- 2 tablespoon grated fresh coconut
- Salt to taste
Tempering
- 1 teaspoon black gram dhal
- 1 teaspoon Bengal gram dhal
- 2 teaspoon Cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 dry red chilli, halved
- ½ teaspoon asafoetida powder
- A few curry leaves
