CAPSICUM PORIYAL (KUDAMILAGAI PORIYAL)

Preparation Time :
20 minutes

Cooking Time :
15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Smear the capsicums with curd. Allow to stand for about 10 - 15 minutes.
  • Heat the oil and add all the ingredients for tempering. When the mustard seeds splutter, add the capsicum, salt and little water. Simmer covered till done.
  • Sprinkle with poriyal powder. Fry for about 2 minutes.
  • Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams capsicums, cut into small pieces
  • 2 tablespoon sour curd
  • 1 tablespoon poriyal powder
  • Salt to taste

Tempering

  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds  
  • ½ teaspoon asafoetida powder
  • A few curry leaves
