WHEAT RAVA CHAKARAPONGAL

Preparation Method :

  • In a vessel, add ¼ cup of water along with the jaggery and stir till the jaggery melts.
  • Filter the jaggery syrup and keep it aside.
  • In a heavy bottomed vessel, fry the wheat rava till the aroma pops out.
  • Transfer to a plate and rest it to cool.
  • On the same vessel, boil 300 ml of water and add the wheat rava constantly and cook well.
  • Now add  the  jaggery syrup and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile add ghee and stir.
  • Add Elachi powder and stir it till the mixture binds well and it should not stick to the vessel.
  • Now in a small pan, add 1 tablespoon of ghee and roast the cashews.
  • Garnish the wheat rava chakarapongal with the roasted cashews and serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 grams Wheat rava 
  • 225 grams Jaggery 
  • 50 ml water    
  • 1 teaspoon Elaichi powder
  • 10 cashews       
  • 4 tablespoon Ghee
