SABUDANA KHICHDI

Preparation Method :

  • Spread the soaked sago on paper napkins to absorb excess moisture and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a kadhai. Add cumin seeds and peanuts. Fry till peanuts turn light golden.
  • Add chopped boiled potato. Fry for 2 minutes or till golden. Add coriander leaves and green chillies. Add salt.
  • Add sago. Mix well. Cook covered on low heat for 5 minutes, stirring just once in between.
  • Add sugar and lemon juice. Remove from heat. 

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 200 grams sago-soaked for 2 hours in water
  • 50 grams peanuts split into two
  • 1 ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 medium potato - boiled, peeled, cut into pieces
  • 4 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2-3 green chillies-slit
  • 1-2 tablespoon lemon juice, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Garnishing

  • Few chopped fresh coriander leaves
