Preparation Method :
- Grind the turmeric powder, chillies, asafoetida, salt and tamarind to a fine paste, adding very little water. Smear over the colocasia.
- Heat oil and fry colocasia in batches till golden.
- Serve hot.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 kg colocasia, cooked, peeled and chopped
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 10 dry red chillies
- 1 teaspoon asafoetida powder
- Salt to taste
- A marble-sized tamarind ball
- Cooking Oil for frying
