VEGETABLE STRING HOPPERS

Preparation Method :

  • Chop carrots,beans,onions and chilies finely.
  • Heat 400 ml of water in a large pan. Add salt and a teaspoon of oil. Now add the semia and stir for a minute. Make sure the semia is soft and not pasty. Now drain it over in a strainer.
  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seeds first. Now add the jeera and curry leaves and saute for a few seconds.
  • Add vegetables, and turmeric powder, stir and close lid for 2 minutes. Keep in low heat. Open lid and stir again. When soft, add the salt and garam masala.
  • Remove from fire and mix with the prepared 'sevai'.
  • Serve cooled.

INGREDIENTS

  • 400 grams of Semia 
  • 200 grams of Beans 
  • 100 grams of Carrot 
  • Onion 
  • 6 Green chillies 
  • Turmeric powder a pinch
  • 1 teaspoon Coram masala 
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds 
  • 1 teaspoon Jeera 
  • A few Curry leaves 
  • 6 tablespoons Cooking Oil
  • Salt to taste
