LEMON STRING HOPPERS

Preparation Method :

  • Extract juice of lemon.Chop green chillies finely.
  • Heat 400 ml of water in a large pan. Add salt and a teaspoon of oil. Now add the semia and stir for a minute. Make sure the semia is soft and not pasty. Now drain it over in a strainer.
  • Splutter the mustard seeds and then roast the chana dal in a tablespoon of oil.
  • Now add the green chillies, asafoetida powder and turmeric powder. Add strained semia into the pan and mix well. Now add the curry leaves, salt and the lemon juice.
  • Serve cooled.

INGREDIENTS

  • 300 grams of Semia 
  • 3 tablespoons Lemon Juice 
  • A pinch Turmeric powder 
  • 6 Green chillies 
  • 1 teaspoon Asafoetida powder 
  • A few Curry leaves 
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds 
  • 1 teaspoon chana dal 
  • 4 tablespoons Cooking Oil
  • Salt to taste
