Preparation Method :
- Soak the black gram dal, red gram dal, Bengal gram dal, rice and red chillies in 2 cups of water for two hours. Grind coarsely.
- Add the salt, grated coconut, chopped onion, coriander leaves and asafetida powder.
- Heat the Griddle and pour a ladle of batter and spread like a dosai, as thin as possible. Make a hole in the centre.
- Pour a teaspoon of oil in the centre and around the edges of the batter. Cook till golden brown at the base.
- Flip over carefully and fry till golden and crisp.
- Serve hot with coconut chutney.

- 150 grams uncooked rice
- 5 tablespoon grated fresh coconut
- 1 large onion, chopped fine
- 75 grams black gram dhal
- 75 grams red gram dhal
- 40 grams Bengal gram dhal
- A bunch of coriander leaves, chopped fine
- ½ teaspoon asafoetida powder
- 6 dry red chillies
- Salt to taste
- IDHAYAM sesame oil for frying
