Preparation Method :
- Mix rava/semolina and maida with enough water to a thick consistency and allow it to stand for half an hour.
- Now, add sugar and mashed banana to the batter and mix well. The sugar melts and the batter becomes smooth.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan and spoon the batter into it.
- When the paniyaram bubbles on the top of the oil, pour the next spoon of batter. You can fry five to six at a time.
- Turn it once and the right time to take it out of the oil is when the paniyaram is crispy at the edges and soft at the centre.
- Drain on kitchen towel and serve.
INGREDIENTS
- 200 grams rava / semolina
- 200 grams maida
- 200 grams sugar
- 1 ripe banana, mashed to a fine paste
- 300 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil for deep frying
