DHOKLA

Preparation Method :

  • Add all the ingredients with the bengal gram paste. Mix well and add little warm water if needed. Adjust seasoning with chilli and salt.
  • Preheat a steamer and grease the container. Pour in the batter half filling the treated container. Cover and steam for about 5-7 minutes. Remove and cut into squares immediately.
  • Heat little oil in a pan, add the whole green chillies, black mustard seeds and curry leaves. When the seeds starts to splutter, remove and pour over the steamed squares.

INGREDIENTS

  • 550 grams Bengal gram, soaked, Drained and ground to a soft paste
  • 200 ml warm water
  • 50 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 1" Ginger, chopped
  • Few Green chillies, to taste, coarsely ground
  • ¼ teaspoon, Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon, Soda bicarbonate
  • Juice of 4 lemons  
  • Salt to taste

Seasoning

  • 1½ teaspoon, Black mustard seeds  
  • 5-6 Green chillies, whole, slit
  • Few Curry leaves
