CUMIN AND CHILLI PUFFS

Preparation Method :

  • Sift flours and chilli into medium bowl; stir in seeds. Stir in enough water to mix to a soft dough.
  • Turn dough onto floured surface; knead until smooth. Cover and allow to stand for about 10-15 minutes. Divide dough into 12-14 portions.
  • Shape each portion into a thin sausage. Coil sausages, flatten with palm of hand.
  • Roll flattened coils on floured surface into rounds. Deep-fry in hot oil, turning once, until golden brown and puffed. Drain on absorbent paper.

INGREDIENTS

  • 150 grams whole meal plain flour
  • 100 ml warm water
  • 90 grams white plain flour
  • ½ teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • Salt, to taste
  • Cooking oil for deep-frying
