Preparation Method :
- Ground the semolina and the fenugreek seeds.
- Mix the two pastes and add enough water to make a batter of dropping consistency. Adjust seasoning with salt.
- Take the idli moulds. Pour spoonful of the batter in each mould, put some mixed pickle over it and then top with another spoon of the batter.
- Steam for about 15-20 minutes or until done. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
INGREDIENTS
- 250 grams Semolina, soaked for 15-20 minutes, drained and ground
- 400 grams Split black gram, soaked, drained and ground to fine paste
- 1 teaspoon, Fenugreek seeds
- 50 grams Mixed pickle, chopped
- Salt to taste
