Preparation Method :
- In a mixing bowl rub the baking soda with the ghee till frothy.
- Add the remaining ingredients except the oil for frying and make a stiff batter, using sufficient water.
- Heat oil in a frying pan. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the oil and fry till golden in colour.
- Drain on kitchen paper.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup or any chutney.
INGREDIENTS
- 150 grams Bengal gram flour
- 75 grams rice flour
- 2 tablespoon ghee
- 3 onions, chopped fine
- A pinch of baking soda
- 2 teaspoon ghee
- 1 potato, chopped fine (optional)
- 1" piece ginger, chopped fine
- 4 green chillies, chopped fine
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- A bunch of coriander leaves, chopped fine
- Salt to taste
- Cooking oil for deep frying
