Preparation Method :
- Prepare the onion and potatoes and set aside.
- In a bowl blend all the spices together, including the coriander, fenugreek, garlic, cumin seeds, salt and baking powder.
- Add the mixture with onion and potato and gram flour, blend it in well with your fingers.
- Use a little oil if necessary to moisten the mixture, and continue mixing until the mixture begins to stick together.
- Heat to medium, the oil until hot in a deep frying pan. Drop about a dessert spoonful of the mixture at a time into the hot oil and fry.
- Turn once and remove from the pan when golden. Drain on kitchen paper. Serve hot with a chutney.
INGREDIENTS
- 200 grams onion, peeled and sliced
- 75 grams potato, peeled and sliced thinly
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander
- 200 grams fresh fenugreek leaves
- 1 teaspoon ginger root, diced and crushed
- 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
- 1½ teaspoons chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 200 grams , gram flour
- 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
- IDHAYAM MANTRA Peanut Oil for deep frying
