CAULIFLOWER PAKODA

Preparation Method :

  • Rub ghee and baking soda until frothy in a mixing bowl.
  • Add gram flour, rice flour, salt and all the chopped vegetables and green peas.
  • Add sufficient water to form a thick batter.
  • Heat the oil in a deep frying pan to smoking point. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil. Fry till golden and crisp.
  • Drain on kitchen paper.                                           
  • Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 150 grams Bengal gram flour
  • 40 grams rice flour
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda  
  • 4 green chillies, chopped fine
  • 150 grams cauliflower
  • 30 grams shelled green peas
  • A small bunch of coriander leaves, chopped fine
  • A few curry leaves
  • 1 onion, chopped fine
  • Cooking oil for deep drying
  • Salt to taste
