Preparation Method :
- Mix black gram paste with the remaining ingredients. Add a little water and knead to make a soft dough. Keep aside for about an hour.
- Before frying, knead the dough again. Shape the dough into golf balls. Roll each ball out into a disc.
- Heat the oil in a wok or pan; fry the discs, one by one, turning frequently on high heat till golden.
- They will be slightly white on the edges. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain the excess oil on paper towels.
- Serve hot with spiced potatoes.
INGREDIENTS
- 150 grams Semolina
- 250 grams Refined flour
- 100 grams Black gram, rinsed, soaked, drained and ground to paste
- 2 tablespoon Cooking oil
- A pinch Asafoetida
- Small pinch Onion seeds
- Salt to taste
